Christ was in the tomb; he lay in darkness in the womb of the whole world. Holy Saturday begins with the quiet reflection on the events of the last two days and finds us waiting, in anticipation of what God has done and continues to do in our lives.
The Easter Vigil – helps us to enter into what God has done for us. In the light of the Paschal Candle – the Light of Christ – we announce to all that Christ is Risen! Through a creative weaving of the Easter Vigil Scripture readings we get an overview of the Salvation Story from Creation to the call of Abraham and Sarah; from Moses leading the people of Israel from slavery to the great prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel calling us to keep hope alive.
